When does registration normally take place?
Registration is usually held simultaneously with soccer registration in late spring / early summer.

When do we find out my child’s team and coach
Late summer.

When does the season usually start?
Practices start in August, games usually begin the week before or after Labor Day.

When does the season usually end?
Before Thanksgiving, unless a team advances in the playoffs, then games could go into December.

How many matches can we expect to play?
10-12
 
When are matches played?
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

What are the minimum playing time requirements?
Coaches are encouraged to balance playing time equally amongst all players, though playing time may can be varied from game to game.
 
How can I give feedback on my child's experience?
Attend and/or help with practices, attend games, maintain contact with your child’s coach.
 
How are the teams decided?
Teams are drawn randomly for grades 3 and 4 and split by ability for grades 5-8.

How can I become a coach?
Indicate you have interest on your child’s registration (there is a question during the registration process) and/or contact the Volleyball Director.
 
What are the minimum and maximum number of players on a team?
Most teams have between 8 to 10 players.
 
What pieces of the uniform and equipment are provided, and what do I have to provide?
Starting in 2024, St Peter’s instituted an owned uniform policy, and uniforms will be purchased through our uniform partner.  Players will also need to provide black shorts, kneepads, and athletic shoes to participate.
 
What are the age brackets for each team?
Grade level play.
 
We just moved to St. Peter. The season has already started. Can we still join a team?
CYC generally doesn’t allow for in season adds to rosters, however you can reach out to the volleyball director in this circumstance.
