Pastoral Council


The role of the Pastoral Council is one of service for the parishioners:

  • Advise the Pastor
  • Set the vision of the parish – set direction and course for the parish and its commissions
  • Assist the commissions to assure alignment with the Mission Statement
  • Set yearly agenda/goals for the parish


The responsibilities of the Pastoral Council include:

  • Assign Pastoral Council representative(s) to each commission
  • Participate in assigned commission(s) to support their goals in keeping with the Vision and Mission Statement
  • Advise and support the Pastoral Staff
  • Develop short and long term parish goals in keeping with the Vision and Mission statement
  • Meet annually in prayerful retreat to choose leadership, revisit vision, and set goals
  • Listen to the parishioners and be aware of events/concerns


  • Consists of 12 or more members as determined by the nomination and discernment process
  • Members will have staggered three year terms


  • Executive Committee Meeting monthly
  • Pastoral Council Meeting monthly
  • Commission Meeting as scheduled
  • Other meetings as scheduled
