Groups of 8 to 12 meet in parishioners’ homes to pray, share and reflect on the Sunday scripture readings and then discuss how the readings are related to their daily lives and relationships. Each group then decides how the gospel message can be lived out in service to others until they meet again. The group closes each session with prayer. Confidentiality is practiced to promote discussion to whatever extent participants feel comfortable. The format is aimed at the broadest possible range of parishioners, and participants set the schedule.
For those who wish, various programs and formats involving the upcoming Sunday readings are available to continue the experience of being “church” on a smaller and more personal level.
