Core Curriculum

Vision and Purpose:

The goal of the curriculum at St. Peter Catholic School is to form students intellectually within the context of Catholic education.  In order to achieve this goal, we are preparing our students to be insightful thinkers and speakers who have a solid basis in their religion and a solid mastery of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, technology, art, music, and physical education.

Religious education is at the heart of the entire curriculum at St. Peter School.  St. Peter defines its own specific curriculum, modeling state and national curriculum standards, as well as the religious standards suggested by the National Catholic Education Association.  Our graduates are prepared to excel academically, to welcome leadership responsibilities, and to become productive members of society.

St. Peter provides academic instruction in the core curricular subjects taught in all Missouri schools. These essential areas of study include:
  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Reading/Literature
  • English/Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Religion

Along with the core curriculum, St. Peter School offers Physical Education, Music, Art, Spanish and Technology.
